Jana's Fluffy Sunflower

This fluffy gem was a surprise! I had never seen such a sunflower in my life. My friend Jana grows them - they are amazing!

I really liked the deep colors of this sunflower. I've been so used to the bright yellow ones, this was a very nice change.

I can never quite recover from the pattern of the seeds on sunflowers. The subtle striping of color in the leaves. What a beautiful thing.

Blueberries

These scrumptious berries were on display at DC's Eastern Market. I loved them in their little turquoise containers, all plumped up and spilling over.
